20 & 40 minutes

GP & Family Medicine

Our GPs are UK-trained and GMC-registered, and see both adults and children. We give each appointment the time it needs, so there is space to listen properly, understand the problem in context and explain clearly what comes next.

Appointments

20 minutes

20-minute GP appointment

A focused, unhurried consultation for a new or ongoing concern. Time to explore symptoms, review your history and agree a clear plan.

40 minutes

40-minute GP appointment

Extra time for more than one issue, a complex history, or when you would benefit from talking things through in more depth.

What this covers

Acute illness

Same-week appointments for new problems, including infections, injuries, pain, rashes and other symptoms that need timely assessment.

Ongoing medical problems

Continuity with a doctor who knows your history, for ongoing conditions that benefit from regular review, thoughtful follow-up and care that evolves over time.

Second opinions

An unhurried review of a diagnosis or treatment plan, with time to go through what has already been done and what the options are.

Preventative medicine & health reviews

Routine health reviews and preventative care, with the option to progress to a more comprehensive Well Person assessment where appropriate.

Common questions

How long is a GP appointment at Wayfarer Health?

We offer 20-minute and 40-minute GP appointments. The 40-minute appointment suits more than one issue, a complex history, or when you would benefit from talking things through in more depth.

Do you see children as well as adults?

Yes. Our GPs see both adults and children. We also run a Well Child clinic, which sits within our preventative health service.

Can I get a second opinion on a diagnosis?

Yes. We offer unhurried second-opinion appointments with time to go through what has already been done and what the options are.
