Wayfarer Maritime can help you keep your yacht operating flawlessly by taking care of the people that take care of the vessel, and assisting with every aspect of medical care on board.
We can provide your crew with a familiar GP; your Captain with expert maritime occupational health advice; your Purser with cost-effective inventory solutions and, most of all, your Clients with a stay catered by a healthy and happy crew.
We can provide a dedicated holistic GP service to the men and women who make this sector the success that it is today: Wayfarer Maritime. The hostesses, hands, engineers and officers that keep yachts in pristine condition for months on end often prioritise the vessel and their colleagues above themselves. Full Wayfarer Health access means that they can now have an accessible, friendly and accountable GP service that can respond to their needs as they arise. Now whenever a crew member has any health concern- physical, mental or emotional, they have someone they can turn to for advice and compassion and clinical care.
All too frequently a yacht crew will put off seeing a doctor when they really should do as they prioritise colleagues or the vessel over themselves.
The Wayfarer Maritime service gives each member of your crew free and unfettered access to a trusted doctor. Our text, phone and video-based app (that each crewmember can have on their phone) means that consultations can be organised by the individual and conducted around other essential duties. Doctor consultations no longer have to be arranged for busy periods alongside, or organised by an Officer.
Let us help you help your crew.
As the Captain of a yacht you have a right to know of any medical issues that may influence the safe running of your vessel. With Wayfarer Maritime you can be reassured that your crew are being cared for by an expert in maritime medicine and that any relevant conditions are immediately brought to your attention, together with a coherent plan with how to mitigate any safety issues.
You can have confidence that neither the safety of the crewmember or vessel is compromised by any medical condition.
The scale of medicines holdings on board vessels is significant, and there is a large amount of expenditure on medicines with limited shelf-life entailing a high amount of wastage. We can advise your vessel on how to keep these costs to a minimum, manage your inventory and can provide Medical Chest Certificates in accordance with Flag requirements.
You may well have paramedics or nurses in your crew who have their own Professional Development requirements. Wayfarer Maritime can provide these crew with much needed professional support and clinical top-cover.
